1. About these terms
These terms govern use of cosilsolutions.co.uk. They do not replace the written engagement terms issued for consultancy, mediation or other paid work. If there is a conflict, the signed or accepted engagement terms apply to the service concerned.
The website is operated for UK services by Cosil Solutions Limited, company number 13008653, registered office: 27 Old Gloucester Street, London WC1N 3AX.
2. Website use
You may use the website for lawful purposes. You must not attempt to disrupt it, gain unauthorised access, introduce malicious material, misuse forms, impersonate another person or reproduce protected content without permission.
3. Enquiries and engagement
Submitting a form, sending an email or booking an initial discussion does not require Cosil Solutions to accept a matter and does not itself create a consultancy, mediation or solicitor-client relationship. Before accepting work, we may consider suitability, capacity, conflicts, scope and any relevant professional requirements.
4. Services
Cosil Solutions provides strategic dispute consultancy, accredited mediation, professional review and preparation support. The exact scope, deliverables, fees, responsibilities and timetable will be confirmed in writing.
The UK Dispute Strategy Consultation costs £395 and includes up to 60 minutes plus preliminary review of up to 15 pages supplied in accordance with the booking instructions. Further work is separate and requires a separate scope and fee agreement.
5. Payment
Fees and payment dates will be stated on the relevant booking page, invoice or engagement terms. Unless otherwise agreed, payment is required before a consultation or before substantive work begins.
6. Consumer cancellation
If you are a consumer entering into a distance or off-premises service contract, you may have a statutory 14-day cancellation right. If you ask us in writing to begin during that period and then cancel before completion, you may be required to pay a proportionate amount for work properly completed up to cancellation. If the service is completed in full during the cancellation period after your express request and acknowledgement, the statutory cancellation right may end. These terms do not restrict statutory rights.
7. Other cancellations and refunds
Cancellation, rescheduling and refund arrangements for a particular service will be stated at booking or in the engagement terms. Any retained amount or cancellation charge will reflect work performed, committed time and reasonable loss, subject to applicable law. If Cosil Solutions cancels without providing the agreed service, sums paid for work not provided will be refunded.
8. Client responsibilities
You are responsible for providing accurate information, identifying important deadlines, preserving relevant evidence, reviewing work supplied for factual accuracy and obtaining advice or representation from an authorised legal professional where required. You must not send confidential or extensive documents through the initial website form.
9. Outcomes and third parties
We do not guarantee settlement, recovery, savings or any other outcome. Decisions remain with the client or, in mediation, with the participants. We are not responsible for the acts, omissions, decisions or availability of independent third parties.
10. Intellectual property
Website content belongs to Cosil Solutions or its licensors. You may view or print reasonable extracts for personal or internal business use. Other copying, publication, adaptation or commercial use requires prior written permission.
11. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation or any liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Any further service-specific limits will be set out in the engagement terms and will operate only to the extent permitted by law.
12. Complaints
Complaints are handled under our Complaints Procedure. Nothing in that procedure prevents a person from exercising a statutory right or using another remedy available to them.
13. Grenada practice
Grenada and Caribbean enquiries are handled separately. Any engagement will identify the relevant contracting entity, applicable law and service terms. The UK consultation price and UK governing-law provisions do not apply automatically to Grenada work.
14. Governing law
These website-use terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory rights a consumer has to bring proceedings elsewhere. Separate engagement terms may specify a different governing law where appropriate.
