A structured route towards resolution

Civil and Commercial Mediation

Mediation gives the parties a structured space to discuss the issues before positions harden or litigation becomes the default. It can also help when communication has broken down or a matter has already escalated.

Cosil Solutions supports individuals, businesses and organisations with civil and commercial mediation, including contract, workplace, community, housing and property disputes. We begin with an enquiry to understand the matter and scope the process appropriately.

Enquire about mediation

Who it is for

Individuals, businesses and organisations seeking constructive dialogue, whether a disagreement is emerging, positions are entrenched or a formal process is becoming costly.

This may include commercial disagreements, workplace or community disputes, and housing or property matters such as leasehold, freehold, service charges, major works and landlord and tenant disputes.

When it may help

  • A workable resolution is still possible.
  • The parties want an independent mediator to structure discussion.
  • Direct discussions or internal processes have not resolved the issue.
  • The matter is approaching or has reached court, tribunal or another formal stage, where mediation remains appropriate.

How Cosil prepares mediation

  1. Understand the matter and relevant documentation.
  2. Clarify the issues and the outcomes the parties want to explore.
  3. Agree a process proportionate to the dispute.
  4. Facilitate structured discussion on the day.
  5. Record the settlement where agreement is reached.

Your decision, supported by a clear process

As mediator, Cosil Solutions remains impartial. The mediator does not decide the dispute or impose an outcome. Parties may attend with solicitors or professional representatives where appropriate.

The arrangements and confidentiality of the process are explained before mediation begins.

Start with an enquiry

Mediation is scoped according to the circumstances, complexity and needs of the parties. It is not a standard online appointment.

Tell us briefly what the matter concerns and its current stage. We aim to respond within 3 working days.
